Join us in an exciting endeavor to catalyse collaboration among regions, local authorities, and research and innovation (R&I) stakeholders. Our goal is to forge consortia that will craft compelling project proposals for the 2025 call of the EU Mission on Adaptation to climate change.

This event focuses on the topics 03-04, centered on demonstration projects that often include a wide range of actors such as universities, network, public authorities etc. For the demonstration projects, activities should take place in at least 3 regions/communities located in at least 3 EU Member States/Countries Associated with Horizon Europe. Proposals must also include 3 replicating regions/communities.

  • HORIZON-MISS-2025-01-CLIMA-03: Demonstrating solutions to help hotspots in coastal regions to adapt to climate change.
  • HORIZON-MISS-2025-01-CLIMA-04: Testing and demonstrating innovative solutions to improve resilience to extreme heat, including addressing health impacts.

Prepare for engaging on breakout sessions, designed to empower regions to present their climate adaptation challenges and seek out-of-the-box solutions. Meanwhile, R&I actors will have the opportunity to scout for suitable demonstration sites, fostering a synergy that sparks innovation. Expect to explore potential partnerships, cultivating leader-follower dynamics within projects.

But the conversation doesn't stop there! A registry of regions, outlining their project interests and challenges, will be circulated within the Mission's network, streamlining the process of consortium formation and ensuring effective collaboration.

To prepare for the event we recommend joining the EU Missions info days on the 22nd and 23rd of May, and the Horizon Europe Missions Brokerage Event on the 26th and 27th of May to get all information needed on the upcoming Horizon Europe calls, ensuring you're informed and ready to engage in the matchmaking activities.
